Meet the UrbanFaith Crew
Andrew Wilkes is the editor of UrbanFaith. A concerned citizen and ordained clergyman, he also works as the Faith and Community Relations associate at Habitat for Humanity – New York City. He is an alum of the Coro Foundation’s Fellowship in Public Affairs and serves as affiliate minister at the Greater Allen Cathedral of New York. A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and Hampton University, his writing has been featured in the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, Stanford Social Innovation Review, and Sojourners Magazine. Stephanie Imani LaFlora is Coordinating Producer of UrbanFaith and UMI Media. A writer, editor, and social-media whiz, she’s a 2009 graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a degree in screenwriting. In addition to writing articles for UrbanFaith, Stephanie produces video programming for the site and manages online content for UMI TV, Inteen, and Young Adult Today.
Bruce Donaldson is Senior Producer/Online Designer at UrbanFaith. Bruce edits and produces video content for UrbanFaith and other UMI websites. In addition to his video-production work, Bruce also serves UrbanFaith through his skills as a photographer and graphic designer. He is an alumnus of Indiana University and the University Of California-Los Angeles.
Christine A. Scheller is UrbanFaith’s News & Religion Editor. In past articles, she has explored her personal journeys in urban ministry and racial diversity. She is a journalist with a passion for exploring intersections of Christian faith and public life. In addition to her work with UrbanFaith, Christine also writes for The High Calling, Christianity Today, and The Huffington Post. She earned a journalism degree from Rutgers University and is a member of the Religion Newswriters Association.
Shari Noland is Chief Technology Officer of Urban Ministries Inc. and the driving force behind UrbanFaith’s technical development. As UMI’s chief technology officer, Shari creates long-term Web development, marketing, and content strategies for the company and oversees the implementation of companywide software and hardware technology upgrades. A graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s in journalism, and of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with a master of science, Shari has worked as a Web producer, editor, and designer at a variety of media companies, including the Chicago Tribune, Hearst Magazine Group, Meredith Corporation, Cox Interactive Media, and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
